Explore the Functional Lab Tests
GI MAP
The Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus, (GI-MAP), provides unparalleled insights into gut health, allowing us to get to the root of your health issues and craft a targeted, personalized protocol for you.
This advanced, at-home stool test is a valuable tool for supporting and optimizing gut health. Because gut health is at the center of skin, digestion, hormone, immune, inflammation, and mental health, it is a foundational lab test.
The GI-MAP provides a detailed look at the gut microbiome, including bacteria, parasites, viruses, fungi, and other potential disruptions that may be affecting your health. It also evaluates important indicators related to digestion, absorption, inflammation, pancreatic function, and intestinal immune activity.
Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle, and other available testing to help guide a more personalized approach.
Markers: Opportunistic microbes, commensal keystone bacteria, pathogens, viruses, fungi and yeast, H. pylori and virulence factors, parasites, beta-glucuronidase, occult blood, calprotectin, steatocrit, pancreatic elastase, secretory IgA, anti-gliadin IgA, and zonulin (when added).
DUTCH
The DUTCH test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) provides the most in-depth analysis of sex and adrenal hormones, along with their metabolites.
Unlike traditional hormone panels, the DUTCH test not only measures hormone levels but also reveals how your body processes and metabolizes them. This comprehensive view includes key insights into adrenal health, reproductive health, energy production, oxidative stress, nutritional deficiencies, and liver health.
The DUTCH test is especially helpful for uncovering root causes of common hormone-related issues like PCOS, insulin resistance, irregular periods, and endometriosis. It can also explain troublesome symptoms such as weight gain, sleep problems, acne, and fatigue.
Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, stress levels, supplements, health history, and other available testing to help guide a more targeted and personalized wellness plan.
Markers: Free cortisol, metabolized cortisol, DHEA, melatonin, progesterone, testosterone, estrogen, estrogen metabolites, six organic acids, and more. See the sample test for a complete list.
HTMA
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) provides an in-depth look at mineral patterns and selected heavy metals using a small sample of hair collected close to the scalp.
Minerals play an important role in energy production, stress response, blood sugar regulation, thyroid function, metabolism, nervous system health, and overall cellular function. HTMA helps us look beyond individual mineral levels to understand how key minerals may be interacting with one another and whether broader patterns may be present.
This test may be especially helpful when exploring concerns such as fatigue, low stress tolerance, blood sugar instability, sluggish metabolism, thyroid-related symptoms, hair loss, muscle tension, headaches, and difficulty feeling energized or resilient.
Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, stress levels, supplements, health history, and other available testing to help guide a more targeted and personalized wellness plan.
Markers: Calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, copper, zinc, phosphorus, iron, manganese, chromium, selenium, molybdenum, selected heavy metals, and key mineral ratios. See the sample report for a complete list.
Total Toxin Zoomer
The Total Tox Burden test is a comprehensive urine assessment that provides a broader look at the toxins your body may have been exposed to, including mycotoxins, heavy metals, and environmental chemicals.
Toxin exposure can come from water-damaged buildings, food, air, water, household products, plastics, pesticides, personal-care products, and occupational environments. Because these exposures may place additional stress on the immune system, hormones, energy production, cognitive function, and overall wellness, this test can provide valuable context when exploring persistent or difficult-to-explain symptoms.
The panel may be especially helpful when there is a known or suspected exposure history alongside concerns such as fatigue, brain fog, headaches, mood changes, hormonal imbalances, respiratory symptoms, poor recovery, or immune dysfunction. It measures the levels of toxin metabolites found in urine, but it does not identify the exact source of exposure.
Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms, health history, home and work environments, nutrition, lifestyle, medications, supplements, and other available testing to help guide personalized strategies for reducing exposure and supporting the body’s natural elimination pathways.
Markers: 29 mycotoxins, 20 heavy metals, and 38 environmental chemicals, including markers related to mold toxins, pesticides, plastics, solvents, industrial chemicals, and other common environmental exposures.
Functional Blood Chemistry Panel
A comprehensive blood chemistry panel provides a broad look at key areas of health, including thyroid function, blood sugar regulation, inflammation, nutrient status, liver and kidney function, cardiovascular patterns, and overall metabolic health.
Unlike a basic blood panel that may only flag values once they fall outside standard laboratory ranges, functional blood chemistry uses optimal ranges to evaluate these markers. This can provide helpful context when exploring concerns such as fatigue, unexplained weight changes, blood sugar instability, low energy, thyroid-related symptoms, poor recovery, hair changes, brain fog, and difficulty feeling your best despite being told your labs are “normal.”
Because many symptoms can overlap, reviewing blood markers together may help us better understand how systems such as thyroid function, glucose metabolism, iron status, inflammation, nutrient sufficiency, and liver function may be influencing one another.
Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle, medications, supplements, and other available testing to help guide a more targeted and personalized wellness plan.
Markers: Complete blood count, lipid panel, comprehensive thyroid panel, hemoglobin A1c, fasting insulin, comprehensive metabolic panel, anemia panel, vitamin D, homocysteine, CRP, magnesium, GGT.
*additional markers may be added based on your individual needs & goals.
MRT (Food Sensitivity)
Reducing inflammation is essential to healing. The Mediator Release Test (MRT) uncovers hidden inflammation triggers that often go undetected by traditional testing.
Developed by Oxford Biomedical Technologies, this patented test analyzes your immune system's reaction to up to 176 foods and chemicals, providing an invaluable tool to identify inflammation-provoking items.
Unlike IgA or IgG tests, the MRT explores subclinical inflammation, which can cause subtle but chronic symptoms like digestive discomfort, headaches, joint pain, and fatigue, even when no immediate allergic response is present.
By quantifying your body’s inflammatory response with a rating and green/yellow/red score, the MRT provides an accurate picture of which foods your body tolerates best and which are contributing to your symptoms. This allows us to create highly personalized, anti-inflammatory protocols that reduce your inflammation, and accelerate your healing.
Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle, and other available testing to help guide a more personalized approach.
Items tested: Up to 176 foods, food chemicals, additives, colorings, preservatives, naturally occurring compounds, and other dietary substances. See the sample report for the complete list.
